A one-day songwriting and recording workshop where pupils create lyrics, record their own vocals and finish the day with a professionally produced song their school can enjoy for years to come.
What the Workshop Involves
From the first idea to your finished song, every workshop follows four simple stages:
✏️ Write it
Children from up to three classes work together to create their own lyrics around a chosen theme, such as friendship, school values, or moving on.
🎵 Learn it
The children learn the song together, developing pitch-matching, rhythm, phrasing and performance skills before recording.
🎤 Record it
The classroom becomes a recording studio as pupils perform into a professional microphone. Multiple takes are recorded before the vocals are professionally edited and produced into the finished song.
💿 Keep it
Within one week, your school receives:
A professionally produced track featuring your children's vocals.
A backing track of your song (without vocals) for performances and celebrations.
Typed lyrics from the day.
A finished song to treasure and share – your school is welcome to use the recording on its website, social media and at school events to celebrate your pupils' achievement.

Bring Resonate to your school
A full-day Resonate workshop is £475, including the creative workshop, a professionally produced recording, a backing track and typed lyrics from the day.
Launch offer: £375. Book before 31 December 2026 and pay just £375. Your workshop can take place at any time, including during 2027.
Half-day sessions, SEND projects and other flexible packages are also available — get in touch to discuss what would work best for your pupils.
Travel is included within 15 miles of CM6. Beyond this, travel is charged at 45p per mile (return journey).
Meet Tom
Led by Tom Purser, a primary teacher with over 20 years' classroom experience and a background in songwriting and music production, Resonate combines creativity, collaboration and professional recording to create songs that children can be proud of long after the day is over.
